My name is Niek Alofs, and I am an experienced government affairs professional with work credits for international organizations such as the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Heineken International, Royal Philips and Dutch regional government (East Netherlands Development Agency).
I am passionate about learning new things about the world, and I am dedicated to learning about new cultures and ideas. I am a creative, independent thinker who loves to tackle complex issues. I am passionate about learning. I am excited about getting to know as much as possible about the world, and the way things are connected. Therefore, I studied (political) history at the Radboud University and obtained a master’s degree (MSc) in International and European Politics from the University of Edinburgh, one of the leading Universities in the United Kingdom.
Working for leading organizations with a substantial international presence such as the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Heineken, and Philips, I felt immensely privileged to work within these networks and to learn how to become a government affairs professional. I want to share my knowledge and experience with others, in particular for SME-companies, startups as well as research facilities, to help them navigate the world and achieve their international ambition.
